Veteran Wiki's objective is to ensure data and information availability & transparency in an ever changing world. Veteran Wiki is the Authoritative Repository of information for Service Members, Veterans, and their Spouses.

Targets

Veteran Wiki has outlined it's 2024 and 2025 Fundraising and Data Entry Objectives. Check our progress, and find out how your donations are spent!
By 1 January 2024, Veteran Wiki aims to raise $50,000 in donations, and $20,000 in grants. By Calendar Year 2025, Veteran Wiki aims to raise $500,000 in donations, and $200,000 in Grants!

The Average Veteran-Owned business is over 6 years old.

Veteran-owned businesses are more likely to survive their first five years in business than non-veteran-owned businesses. This is likely due to the skills and experience that Veterans gain in the military.

The United States Gross Domestic Product according to the World Bank 2021 report is $23.32 Trillion USD, with Veteran Owned Small-Businesses contributing to roughly 5.56% of annual production.

According to the SBA, Small Businesses generate 44% of U.S. Economic Activity, with Veteran-Owned Small Businesses accounting for 22% of overall Small Business Economic Activity.

Are Primarily Self Employed

Of the nearly 11.2 Million Military and Veteran Spouses in the U.S., roughly 1 Million solely representing Active, Guard, and Reserve Spouses, 26,000 own and operate Small Businesses in the United States. Overall, 21% of Military and Veteran Spouses are Primarily Self Employed Business Owners.

Pending VA Disability Comp & Pension

According to the Veterans Administration, as of 14 October 2023, there were over 1 million claims in inventory that require a VBA claims processor decision. Of that number, 308,418 claims have been pending for more than 125 days.
